Global warming-How did I miss this debate?

This discussion has been going on for over a century, not just a couple years like the liberal media would like you to think. Rainy T. was pretty much spot on in his post.

Al Gore stands to make a lot of money on the back of individuals that don't understand why he is doing this. I try to follow the money. See these two articles.

Now to the science...

Global warming allies use the "CO2" label to back up their rhetoric. Most of these people don't have the education or knowledge to understand what they are really saying. They say greenhuse gases are destroying our earth. These people say that CO2 is the driving force to global warming, however they fail to ignore other greenhouse gases like WATER VAPOR that make up over 98% of the greenhouse gases which only 0.001% of this gas is man-made.

When they ignore water vapor because they cannot control this gas which makes up over 98% of all greenhouse gases, they defend their dim arguements with charts like below. These types of charts ignore water vapor giving a person the sense that only CO2 is the issue. Gosh at 99.438% of greenhouse gases why not:)

It is hard to show it on this picture from Al Gore's movie to the right, but CO2 trails temperature as a function over time. Because he shows "y" axis in log-scale on the chart, it appears that CO2 and temperature are on top of each other, but they are not. Temperature is the leading factor.

What does this mean?

It means that CO2 does not drive temperature, but it does mean that temperature drives the levels of CO2.

Of course with all the money that can be made, why would they want you to know this?

Hey everyone, lots going on everywhere! I'm looking forward to catch up on the road trip Jon! I'm almost getting too old for those things though.

So I went with Sebastian, a Slovene teammate, to N. Ireland to do a weekend of training for an Irish team that is coming to help out with their English camp. The economy is forcing us to be creative :) It was an amazing trip as Sebastian and I met and talked with so many people in Portlelogne, a small village of around 2,000 people. I love the N. Irish, they were so friendly and the countryside was incredible. Of course there were one or two of the farmer guys that spoke with such a thick accent I couldn't understand a word they said! It was funny. We were able to stay in a cottage that a Christian businessman just renovated to look and was a couple hundred year old cottage with the original N. Irish feel. It was so fun and peaceful.

Then on monday we had the early early flight back to London then on to Trieste, Italy (on the border with Slovenia). The lady behind the counter at 5:00 am said "your flight has been delayed, is that ok?" Sebastian was joking the rest of the day that, no it was not ok!!! It was 3 1/2 hours delayed which meant we missed our second flight to Trieste. We looked for other options, other airports and everything came up a dead end. So the next flight was the next day! 24 hour layover in London!

Sebastian went to stay at a friends house, but he had to take the Tube and buses and walk, it took him 2 1/2 hours to get to the apartment. He had a nice time though. I... went to the reader board of Easy Jet, a really low budget airline and asked myself, where do i want to go today? Edinburgh, Scotland was the answer. There was a flight that afternoon and one early the next morning. It only took 45 mintuest to get there and a little bit more thand the bus and metro tickets that sebastian bought. I've got lots of stories but I walked around the city all night, hooked up with a Christian Bible study at a church Moody founded, and went back to catch my flight to London the next morning...

Meanwhile back on the home front. I get a call from Amy just as I'm about to jump on the plane to Edinburgh and she is crying. We had been texting all day so I knew pretty much what was going on but she told me that after the kids exams they wanted to admit Elijah to the hospital with a form of Bronchitis! Abigail was also diagnosis with Bronchitis but a milder form. So I'm stuck far away and Amy is stuck dealing with all this. God had provide way before though. Get this. A student that does english camps with us is studing abroad this year and had a study week and arranged to stay with us from Saturday to Wednesday! So Abigail was able to stay home with her, Taylor. I came back went, picked up abigail and went to the hospital. Taylor left the next morning. I was able to see her for 5 minutes and thanked her. She was even staying at our house the whole time. Perfect timing on the Lord. Elijah is still in the hosptial, his oxygen levels in his blood are too low still. We are all exhausted and ready to be a family again and have some down time,.. maybe soon.

It was fun to look at the people, ask lots of questions and get a feel of some of our heritage. I really really liked my time in N. Ireland and so many of the people looked like Grandpa, and Jon! Where we went to church on Sunday I could see Grandpa fitting right in! So here's some pics from my crazy adventures. Busy

It’s been busy around here. Jon and I are both working extra hours while the work is available because you never know when it won’t be here. I’m teaching a college lifeguarding class with my Mom which takes up some Saturdays and evenings. There was a piano competition the last week of April and May 30th is the piano recital. It seems that after the 30th things slow way down.

The weather has been beautiful lately. Yesterday Noah, Bree and I had a wonderful time at the park. We were there for 1.5 hrs and had it all to ourselves. The sun was warm and there was this cool breeze. Ahh….we just basked in God’s creation. Noah got a bubble lawn mower for his birthday and let’s just say that now that the weather is nice, our lawn gets mowed A LOT! What a great gift that’s been.

We got a pass to our science museum (OMSI) and since Jon has done a few nights of work he took a morning off so we could go as a family. It was quite fun and we'll be using the pass a lot especially when it's rainy.

My Mom graduated with her Masters in counseling a few weeks ago and my brother, Uncle and "Grandma" came to suprise my Mom. We took Tanta Eda (my adpoted grandma) to the coast. It was so much fun to show her around!

We head to Salt Lake on Friday night to visit Kevin and Megan. We’re excited to see them and finally meet Dane. We hoping that the drive will go smoothly if we (mostly Jon) drive thru the night. We’ll let you know how that goes.

I thought we should post something from the FL woodards.... We are doing all right, entering into the hot months of the year already!! (not to mention hurricane season starts up soon:)

Ryan is finishing up preschool in the next couple of weeks and is headed to K5 next year and Pensacola Christian Academy. I can't believe he is getting so big. Physically, caring for him is getting to be easy, but people are right when they say, the older they get, the harder it is to be a parent. I always thought certain values and Christian principles came easy to your kids as long as you lived them yourself..... maybe, maybe not. Not that we are having HUGE moral problems or anything LOL! Just that I'm finding it harder than I thought to teach them to do what is right and what is natural if you love the Lord. I think he's growing right now. He eats really well for me now and his clothes are getting to small again:) It's also getting harder to 'hope he won't notice' things, and is starting to be smart enough to figure out what we are talking about even if we spell it out.

Matthew is still momma's boy and loves to cuddle and be held. The new baby is going to be a challenge to him, I know. I've been trying to break him in a little when I keep nursery by letting him be mommy's helper (even with the bigger kids:) He really likes to help out, but still gets jealous when I have to hold one of the babies! We took him recently to have his speech evaluated. He hasn't had much of a vocab ever, and what he does say is usually mumbled. They said they see what we are saying, but thinks with a little more encouragement should do fine. She gave us ways to get him to sound out phrases and words. He is actually talking a lot better, but still hits these 'roadblocks' where he looks down and mumbles a few sounds that don't make sense when he doesn't know how to respond. We have yet to jump on the potty training - I just don't think he is ready. I think I pushed Ryan too hard. Honestly, diapers are much easier than emergency potty trips in the middle of walmart with a full buggy! (ryan:) Also, after the baby comes I will be home a lot more, so we can be more consistent - and it will give me some matthew/mommy time:)

I am 29 wks now and counting! Its hard to believe its getting so close!!! Garrett is different, still, than both his 'opposite' brothers. More active than Matthew was, but way stronger than Ryan ever was inside. My tummy looks like a mexican jumping bean sometimes! I think I might have passed my glucose test this time around - its been a week and they haven't called yet..... i'm crossing my fingers:) I made a little registry at Target today for fun. Some people asked me to do so, since it's #3 its hard to know what to buy. I was also reminded how much stuff I need before he gets here! I cringed when I scanned the breastfeeding supplies. Am I really ready for another round of this????

I'm still working full-time, and plan to do so until the day of....that's going to take some prayer:) I love my job, but it can be very demanding - like yesterday! After the baby comes I hope to take some time off and only come back one day a week. Money will be tight, but I am so tired of working and missing out on my kids! This is probably the last kid, and I would like to stay home - at least for a while with this one. God definetly has a plan for us, and if that includes working, so be it. I also know how well He can provide and how much better off we will be if He does the supplying.

In case you haven't seen my facebook blurbs, Snickers, our cat is missing. Somehow she actually got outside - her first trip to the great outdoors. She's been gone a week tomorrow, and I think, probably for good. We keep checking the humane society and we posted signs and passed fliers. No body has seen her. Honestly it doesn't surprise us since we didnt see her much living in the same house! We loved our kitty very much. It's somewhat more sentimental to me and Ben, since we got her 2 wks after we got married. We've always had snickers around, so it is very sad to not have her now. (being pregnant and hormonal does NOT help the situation:)

Ben has been very busy with church and some kind of website optimization??? I wish he were here to tell you about it, since none of that makes sense to me:) He's getting very computer savvy!! I think I will let Ben post about his website stuff. I don't think I can do it justice! Our 7th anniversary is coming up in a week. Neither one of us can believe it! We joke around about '7yr itches' but seriously I don't know of anyone else I would rather spend the rest of my life with and share our kids with. We've been through so much together already! We make a good team :) Love you Ben!!!
