Pumpkin patch and life

Yesterday was a BEAUTIFUL day so Noah, my Mom and I went to the local pumpkin patch while Jon was working. There were tons of people there but it was still fun. They had a great kids area and then we walked around looking at horses and pumkins. We didn't go on the hay ride or corn maze as the lines were too long. It was just fun to be outside!
Noah liked to try to wheel the pumkins around without them falling out. It was pretty hard.

They had this cool corn box. Noah and Grandma had fun covering eachother with corn. It was a great idea.

I'm having so much fun hanging out with Noah. I love having a 2 1/2 yr old!

Things are going as normal here. This is Jon showing off his new band he has to wear. It makes eating and talking tough. They're trying to move his bite or something like that. Brackets keep breaking so they're still not off. We're hoping soon.
I'm feeling pretty good. Around 3-4pm I start to feel a little yuck but after I eat it's pretty much normal. Ugh, those last 10 weeks were HORRED! I'm still teaching piano and working 4 hrs at the pool. Lots of people are sick so piano has been slower but that's okay. I'd rather stay healthy. I had a cold but nothing too bad and the boys didn't get it. Yea!
Jon is working on Noah new room (the old guest room). Noah pretty excited about it. Jon's just so creative! We're so blessed. He also finished up the greenhouse out back. He's had maybe 1 day off in the last 3 weeks. Mostly so I could wash his pants and cut his hair. We're looking forward to the holidays with a bit more of daddy home. What a blessing to have work though.

A little excitement -

Jon reminded me Monday that the blog is for posting information about the family when I told him Katelyn had been diagnosed with the H1N1 flu last week. Marie told me Tuesday that she was doing much better and back at school! Now we need to pray that they don't share the bug!

In our part of the world, dad took the van out yesterday for a ride to Charlestown Landing and in the process of trying to get the lift down got his elbow caught in the lift. I'm still not exactly sure how it happened and I don't know if he knows either. Anyway, it ended up cutting his elbow pretty good. When he got home Joel cleaned it up and did his best to stop the bleeding. Several hours later they all picked me up at school to go to Chick-fil-A for dinner (kids eat free Tues.) and I saw his elbow. It was evident to me that healing would be very slow and the chance of infection high. Joel said he'd take him to the VA and about 11:30 they pulled back into the driveway with 7 stitches in the elbow. He says it doesn't hurt. I am so thankful he didn't crush his elbow!

It's great having Joel and Amy here. The extra support is priceless! (extra time with grandkids is too! :) Gotta love it!
