It's about time

We've been busy the past few weeks. I was waiting for Jon to post but since he hasn't yet here I go. Last weekend (19-20th) it snowed AGAIN! That's unheard of here. Jon actually had to get the lawn mowed before the snow. It was a funny picture to see him mowing in the snow. He got it done just in time. By that evening the ground was covered. Sunday was Noah birthday party at the aquatic center. We had a few friend there to celebrate with us. They all had a good time swimming but I think Noah had the best time. He was so happy! He was tired after an hour of swimming but he kept a smile on his face for the cake and presents. He like the cake enough but I think he would have preferred a banana or broccoli! What a guy.

The week was filled dealing with some work stuff (for a full story talk to Jon) and getting a sandbox for Noah. He loves it! It was perfect timing because we actually had 2 warm days this weekend. We all stayed outside as much as possible.

Next Sunday I'm putting on a piano (& guitar for my Mom's students) recital. We're expecting 110 people! That's just the start to some eventful weeks. In May my students have a competition that I need to be at for 2 days, Jon's putting on a bachelor party (he's the best man that can't make it to the wedding since we'll be in TX), we go to TX for my brother's wedding, Mark Krupa comes to visit and then we have visitors every week (some for only a day or two) until July 5th but that's a sad day. Mom & Dad Woodard leave that day. They get to stay for two weeks though! We're so excited!!

I think that's enough for now. Hopefully we'll get to computer more often to post.

OK Corral

It felt like High Noon at the OK Corral yesterday. Only instead of a wooden bar to tie a horse to, it was a lamp post and tree and instead of a saloon, it was a coffee shop. It was fun to hear the clip/clop of the horses though and Abigail enjoyed seeing the big animals, but she kept pointing at them and saying, "Moooo". Poor girl, she's a little confused.

Later we went for a walk and there is an older house with some milking cows so we stopped to look at them from a distance for her to understand that they say "moo" not horses. One of them looked directly at us, for I'm sure he knew this little girl was learning the differences between animals and mooooed very strong and loud for all to hear. Abigail, without taking her very large eyes off of the cows quickly pointed for me to steer her in the opposite direction. It was really, really funny. I wish we had, had a video camera with us.

The kids are doing great. We think Abigail is going through a growth spurt. She's been sleeping and eating like crazy lately and falling a ton!! She definitely looks more like a "kid" now with band-aids on her skin and dirt on her face. It's fun to have her a little more independent (in some ways...not so fun in other ways) and be able to play outside.

And Eli had an appt today for allergy testing and the skin/arm tests revealed that he isn't allergic to milk or eggs. They also drew blood to test for milk and egg allergy and will have those results back in about a week or so. So we'll see. I'm hoping it isn't allergies. The Dr. seems to think it's just dermatitis. So she recommended some special soap and lotion.

He is doing great. Still having a hard time sleeping through the day, but sleeps from 8 til 6ish, 7ish or 8ish. That's so nice...it's difficult with him only sleeping 1/2 hour to 45 minutes during the day, but it would be unbearable if he wasn't sleeping at night too. He's almost sitting up and loves putting anything he can in his mouth. He's so different than Abigail was and that's fun to see. We are just loving the guy!

And so is Abigail, as you can tell by this photo!

we skipped spring and went right into summer...

Hey, I know we haven't posted in a while...either I can't find the camera, the batteries are dead, the card is full, or the card is missing..... Me and pictures don't go together well. Yesterday I let the boys play in the sprinkler. Ryan loved it of course, but Matthew cried when he got wet. Here's so pics of our fun afternoon....

more to come

We've had a lot going on this past week and just havn't had time to post but stay tuned for more. How is Matthew feeling?

Matthew

Matthew could really use your prayers. He is sick again (still?). He's been sick for forever - or atleast since January. It's one thing after another. Now he's running 103 temps that only go down to 100 with tylenol AND motrin. Poor thing! He is so miserable. I think we've been to the doctors every other week or more since the beginning of the year. It's almost embarrassing to sign in at the front desk:) It's me again!! He's had problems since the birth with congestion and runny nose. He had multiple ear infections and now sinus infections. I think we are missing something. The doctor just looks at me funny when I tell him I think he must be allergic to some food or something in our house. One of his partners suggested we check his immune system if he doesn't get better soon. I just want him to be well and happy again!

Thank you

I just want to thank all the little people that made yesterday a swell day.

Marie- for the birthday cake that I didn't get last year

Katelyn- for the beef jerky

Morgan- for the dollar bill (I was able to get a grape drink with it.)

Joel/Amy, Ben/Debbie- for the nice blog posting

Mark/Cindy- for the unexpected call (that's right it was my birthday)

Jon/Erin- for the birthday card (I think b/c the front was a little vague) that traveled ~2700 miles to my humble abode. By the way you didn't have to spend $18.95 for the card, I thought that was a little steep. Don't expect me to send you one that cost that much on your birthday.

Cheers,

William

Happy Birthday William!

Can you believe it? Today is William's 35th birthday! Half way to 70, a 1/3 of the way to 105! What about those candles? The picture on the left proves the candles are real - they burn when you stick your hand in the flame! Anyway, Happy Birthday William - we love you and think you're the best son-in-law! In fact you're our favorite son-in-law! How do you like that?
Hope you have a great day at school!
By the way, the TV was delivered yesterday and works great! Thanks for helping with it Saturday.

Uncle Joel is my favorite !!

Hey everyone. Wanted to post some pictures of Joel's visit. It has been fun hanging out and Noah has warmed up soo much to him very quickly. I think Noah will fall apart when Joel goes. The weather has been awesome this weekend! Hard to believe we had snow just two weeks ago, it has been sunny and 60's and 70's the past two days. The rain is back tomorrow so we are going to get the dog out running and take a walk this afternoon. Hope you all are doing well. Amy, thanks for sharing Joel with us!

Flowertown Festival and Summerville Tours! :)

Dad is very excited. Tomorrow he will be at the Summerville Welcome center from 11-3 to talk to visitors about Summerville History. It is the Flowertown Festival which draws 1000's of visitors to town for the weekend. They ran this ad in the local paper in a special section about the festival. We thought you would like to see it.

a week with Grandma and Grandpa...

Here are some of the memories we made while grandma and grandpa were here. It was a very relaxing, enjoyable week. The boys really enjoyed having family around! Matthew took a while to warm up but at the end was crawling up into their laps like it was me:) The last picture I threw in because I thought it was cute. Ryan was buckling in his frog and pushing him around in the stoller saying 'there, there baby its okay.' He's been so cute lately. Pray for us. The boys and I are battling bronchitis. I went to the doctor today and I think I'm going to take the boys
tomorrow if tonight doesn't go any better. Hope everyone is doing great!
