Baby Hudson Scott!

The newest Woodard baby is here! We were able to go see them all yesterday. Sounds like Erin did amazing...again! Good job, girl! I'll let them fill in all the details of the birth, just wanted to get pictures posted!This was actually one of the rare calm moments for the kids. They had fun turning Jon's bed into a trampoline! Check out the air Noah caught!Here's the youngest baby cousins! Caleb isn't even 5 months and looks so big next to little Hudson!

Afterward, we got a pizza and ate at a park! It was so sunny and nice...chilly too! The kids were more interested in playing than eating, so Joel and I helped the kids on the equipment with a piece of pizza in hand! It worked and everyone was happy!

Happy Easter!

It appears the family blog has been neglected lately due to "life". Seems like everyone is staying busy. I (jon) actually have the day off today and am enjoying a quiet Easter weekend. We walked to the park this morning in the snow flurries and rain and Noah did his first organized egg hunt. It was soo fun to watch him with all the kids. He is very excited about his new brother that is coming soon and tells everyone about Hudson Scott. The doctor said that Hudson could come any time now so we have our bags ready and are on standby. He is not due till the 16th but we will not be suprised if he comes early. Erin is a champ with pregnancy and although very uncomfortable she is healthy and mobil. She is done with her work at the pool as of thurs and just has a few more piano lessons. I feel like some long projects have been coming to a close lately. The house I have been working at on the mountain for the past two years is finally listed and up for sale, my braces come off May 5th (after 5 yrs!), and I am getting caught up on side jobs at home and for other people. Pay checks are still coming in as my bosses have the funds so that has been challenging for the past five months to not know when money will be in the bank. There is still plenty of work out there and I have had to turn down some opportunities due to the time commitment. We have been blessed. We also have a new tv from the passing of Erin's grandmother a couple months ago. That has helped us creat more space in the living room and finally get the office and entertainment stuff organized. I feel like we have been staying busy lately trying to stay on top of work and preparations for Husdon and are looking forward to slowing down for a while as we adjust to the new addition to the family. We are anxiously awaiting his arrival!

Marie! I was especially thinking of you as I was typing this. Since you dont have facebook YET! we wanted you to see these pictures that are all available if you would just be my friend. :)

This past Monday we headed up to Washington with my parents to spend the night and attend my Grandmother's funeral on Tuesday morning. We decided that we would take advantage of a place called the Great Wolf Lodge. It was located on the same exit we needed for the funeral. It was a WONDERFUL place for Noah to run around and for us to be distracted on what could have been a very emotional and stressfull time. It was still emotional but the lodge was a good distraction. Oh man, this place was made for kids. There is this HUGE indoor water park, an arcade, tons of restaurants, spas for adults and kids, a little gym, storytime by the huge fireplace at night and the 8 stories are filled with rooms and little quests along the hallways. Kids get a wand and then follow the story. It's like a live video game/scavenger hunt. They also have a room where kids can do all kinds of organized crafts all day. One can spend a lot of money there. The only things that are free are the water park and bedtime story. It comes with the cost of the room (quite spendy). Noah was in kid heaven in the water park. They have slides (for adults too), a wave pool, things that squirt and pour water. Oh my, the list goes on. We were able to enjoy it on Monday evening and Tues afternoon after the funeral.

I didn't know my grandma very well but I still did a bit of crying. Mostly because of my Dad. He did a great job of leading all his siblings (6) and their families. I was quite proud of him. It was good to see all my family again (it's been over a year) and it was fun to have a day with Jon. It sure messed up the week though!

The weather here had been in the 50s for most of the month. We've even worked in the garden and planted seeds! It feels more like March or April. I'm okay with that although there isn't much snow on the mountain or in Vancouver BC for that matter. They're having to truck snow in for the Olympics!

New Decor!

So take a look at our new home! I love the colors and the way everything is fitting together. It feels cozy and warm - not so sterile. Joel found the mirror at Tuesday Morning marked down from $275 to less than $50! It fits the room perfectly. I "weeded" out some of the bird houses, actually alot of them so I think it's less cluttered. Dad has more room to navigate now with less furniture in the dining area and with the new arrangement of the living room. I took a picture of the living room from the upstairs window but realized the fan was covered in dust and really distracted from the "new" look, so we'll have to try that again later. Anyway I wanted to share our new look. Thank you Joel for the hard work! and Amy too for containing the kids upstairs while he painted. It was a big undertaking with 7 people under one roof - but I love the finished product!
