Any Ideas?
Ok ladies, Jon and I are looking at monitors and we don't know what to get. Amy, you said that we should be sure it has the light function so we know that. A lot of the reports aren't too good on the ones we've looked at. Do you all have any experience that might help us make a good decision?

my advice - one with 2 recievers. Don't spend too much. One with lights is a bonus in case you accidently have the volume down.
honestly, unless you have a huge house, you'll probably be okay. I just liked that if you turned it up loud enough you can hear them breathe:) Okay, yes, I was a worry wort. You can wait, though. The first couple of months, he'll be in you room anyway until he sleeps better. My friend has a video monitor. She loves it, but I'm sure it cost a chunk. How many more weeks anyway....??? Are you registered anywhere?
Ours has a talk-back feature (like a walky-talky) that Joel and I use sometimes...that's nice. We got it for future use at conferences, but it's come in handy here at the house too. Ours has a "voice only activation" that is nice too so it doesn't just run continuously, only if she's making noises. That's nice as well. Happy shopping! : )
Thanks for the info. Amy, where did you get yours? Is it from Slovenia? Debbie, Noah is due April 21st so like 34 more days. We're regestered at Target or home depot cards so Jon can make the wardrobe. I have one more shower this weekend with piano students and church friends. I'm ready to bend over again!
We did buy ours here in Slovenia. It's made by TOMY. I know they sell it all over Europe, but I'm not sure about in the states. Oh! and one other feature that it has that I really like is a night-light. I can turn it on from the receiver before I go into her room and it's not so overpowering of a light that it totally wakes her up but I can see enough to give her medicine or whatever.
