Flowertown Festival and Summerville Tours! :)

Dad is very excited. Tomorrow he will be at the Summerville Welcome center from 11-3 to talk to visitors about Summerville History. It is the Flowertown Festival which draws 1000's of visitors to town for the weekend. They ran this ad in the local paper in a special section about the festival. We thought you would like to see it.

I see that there was also a Mark WoodWard there. That seems to be a common mistake. At least it wasn't his birth cirtificate! We finally got Noah's fixed by the way. How did it go?

I don't think it was what he had hoped for. Only a few folks stopped by but he said he'd do it again so he enjoyed it. Dad had his mind set on getting a "Flower Town Festival" pin (kinda like they did every year in Augusta). So he walked as far as he could to try to find the booth that sold them and just couldn't make it. He came home and about 3:30 I went with him to the opposite end of the festival and walked while he was in the car looking for the booth. While I was searching there were golf carts with policemen and announcements on the loud speaker saying that the festival was shutting down due to a BIG storm that was to hit within 30 minutes and everyone had to leave. When I found the booth they had already secured everything under a tarp so again he lost his pin. Hark but today we will try again! The storm did bring thunder and lightning but fortunetly not the 70 mile winds they were predicting!
