Stranger than Life-

You never know quite what you will see on those signs taped to STOP signs but this weekend we found a real doozy! Marie and I were leaving our subdivision and she said, "Mom can you believe that sign?" Immediately I wondered what would make a croc handicapped? No legs, shortened snout, missing teeth?

We talked about it off and on until we came back home and re read the sign. The first one was much more interesting, but Marie read it in haste and read a few words into it! :) Sorry, Marie, I just had to tell!
Dad has found a 5 bedroom, 4 1/2 bath beach house (it's actually 1 block from the beach) on Isle of Palms. We're going to look at it Saturday but if it looks good the man is a friend of dad's and has offered it to us at a fairly decent price (less than 1/2 of what the majority are going for). What I need to know is what week we should rent it? I went on line to day and it was hard to find any that were even available during Christmas so if we can get this one we need to reserve the date now. Christmas is on a Thursday - I was thinking we could rent it on the 21 (Sunday) through that Saturday the 27. What do you think? We will pay for the house.

We need to get approval still to be able to come back and pray that our frequent flyer miles will work for us two and we will still need to come up with some money from somewhere for Abigail's ticket!

But in spite of all that we are really looking forward to it!

What is the best way to help with Abigail's ticket? Through the mission or to another account?

Marie you are so funny! I won't know about Christmas until it comes down to it. I do know I have the actual day off:) Since I was scheduled to work it last year. Ben will check with Pastor and make sure we aren't planning anything at the church. We will keep you posted. Sigh...oh to have a job where a holiday meant time off:) People can deliver their own babies and care for themselves right?? I want to go on a vacation!

because it would just be vacation we couldn't buy the tickets through JV, it would have to be in our personal account. I still need to get it approved and then call united and work on dates for airline miles and see how much a ticket would be for abigail.

Ben and Debbie, are you guys going to be there? You have 6 months to make something work. We will be bummed if you end up not coming again!!!

That's really funny Mom & Marie! I'm sure I would've been right there with you girls, figuring out reasons why they would be selling handicapped crocodiles. Too funny! And we're looking forward to coming for Christmas with you all!
