Monday we watched Luke Patty so Kristi could help Josh on their new house. They've got A LOT of work to do and are trying to get things done (enough to move in) by this Friday. We got this swimming pool from the Jackson's (who are in the states this summer) to use for the summer. We are already having a lot of fun with it. The weather isn't quite hot enough yet to
really enjoy it, but it's an easy, fun thing to do with the kids so far!

Later that night, Joel set up a TV (that we inherited from Kathy when we she went back to the states) with a movie on the terrace outside our bedroom. It's unfinished and because it's black, is quite hot and dirty from birds making their homes out there. Sounds inviting, doesn't it?! Well, we cleaned it up and decided to have dinner and a movie out there. It was fun...and a bit distracting for the kids. We didn't even make it halfway through the movie and the kids were bored. We gave up after dinner and went for a walk instead. But then after the kids were in bed and it was dark, Joel and I headed out there and watched "The Prestige" ---great movie, btw! It was so fun! We kept the TV upstairs and might do that some more this summer. It was really nice!

Sounds like a nice summer thing to do. Dad said the other night he'd really like a patio behind our house so that we could sit out there in the evenings. We've talked about it before, but maybe when you come back Joel it would be a project at some point at some time you could do. It'd be a fun way to watch the 'gator! :)
that would be a fun project to work on. Never done it before, maybe Jon could give a few pointers!
Maybe Jon could come help! :)
I could nail a nail too. man...speak of manual labor and Ben is somehow out of the conversation. :) I refinished the wood patio on our other house here in Pensacola. But all we had to do was redo the top boards. The complete base was still good. But...as I was saying "I can screw a nail through a board or two."
Okay Ben you're on! We all know you can do it! So can Will. We'll just have a big "patio buildling party!"
